Sarah Mundy-Russell is a proud Daytona Beach native—born in Daytona, raised in Ormond, and a 2011 graduate of Mainland High School. Her journey in healthcare started with a deep desire to serve and support others, and she has been a registered nurse since 2015. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Daytona State College, followed by her Bachelor’s from the University of West Florida, and ultimately completed her Master of Science in Nursing with a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner concentration at Nova Southeastern University in 2022.

Over the years, she has had the privilege of working in a variety of nursing settings—from correctional healthcare and inpatient psychiatric units to adult and neonatal critical care. These diverse experiences have shaped the way she practices today: with empathy, clinical insight, and a commitment to meeting people where they are.

Outside of clinical work, she is passionate about teaching and currently holds a faculty position, along with past roles as an adjunct instructor. She truly loves educating future nurses and mental health professionals—it’s one of the most rewarding parts of what she does.

When she’s not working, you’ll usually find her outdoors, spending time with her family or riding her horse. She also enjoys volunteering in the community and staying connected to the place that raised her. Her heart is in helping keep our community strong, healthy, and supported—both physically and mentally.
